CALF CLINIC - Conducted by our consulting veterinarian, Dr. Kent Anderson, this pre-calving season event provides advice, tips and techniques to help producers make the best of this sometimes challenging time of year. WINTER BEEF CONFERENCE - A full-day conference featuring national and local speakers specializing in issues relevant to beef production in Vermont. SUMMER SHORT COURSE AND/OR FIELD DAY - A summer program usually held on a member's farm covering various subjects from niche marketing and revenue enhancement to cost cutting and economical herd-health programs. This course is an informative way to learn of new and different management practices and observe other facilities. SPRING AND FALL STOCKER/FEEDER CALF SALES - These sales have provided our membership with an important market outlet. Prices have been at or above national levels and buyers have seen increasingly better quality cattle. Tele-conference auction option. VERMONT BEEF NEWS - A newsletter published by the Vermont Beef Industry Council covering events and important issues in Vermont's beef industry. |
