The Vermont Beef Producers Association presents the annual Summer Social

Admission is free to members of VBPA and VGFA.  Non members will be charged $30 to attend and will receive a one year VBPA membership

Food provided by Eaton’s Sugarhouse, Millbrand Farm

and Wood Creek Farm

9:00  Ag plastics, Present and Future with Anne Macmillan, Vermont Agency of Agriculture.  Equipment display/ plastic wrap baler demonstration, Greenwood’s  Equipment of East Randolph

10:00  Gaylord Farm tour/pasture walk

11:00 Depart for Poulin Farm

12:00 Barbeque lunch at Poulin and daughters, Brookfield

12:45 Vermont Agency Of Agriculture’s Ag Engineers discuss Poulin’s barn yard improvement project and the BMP cost sharing program

1:15 Bruce Howlett, Nutrient management planner for the Southern Vermont Nutrient Management Program will discuss the importance of nutrient management planning with specific experience related to beef production

1:45 Poulin Farm tour/pasture walk

Directions

Gaylord Farm

From interstate 89, Take  Exit 9

Follow signs to Waitsfield.  You will be on Route 100, continue through town , stay on route 100

Once you pass the intersection with Route  17 on the right, go one mile

Farm is on your left, look for the farm stand mural

Poulin Farm

From interstate 89, go east on VT Rt 66

Go left at the junction with Vermont Technical College

In ½ mile bear left onto Ridge Road

After Brookfield Elementary School go another mile then turn left onto Crossover road

Go one mile and turn left onto West Street at the T Intersection

Go another mile and look for Poulin Farm on the right
